Stalwart liberal Al Green has represented southern Houston in the House since 2005. Green has been a fervent champion of liberal social policies: he has consistently voted against restrictions on abortion and advocated for strict gun control. Green has focused on advancing fair housing and fair hiring practices, among other progressive legislative priorities.
