State Senator Joe Baldacci is running to represent Maine’s 2nd Congressional District. Joe has always been invested in his community, whether it was working in the kitchen of his family’s restaurant, Momma Baldacci’s, representing small businesses as an attorney, or serving on the Bangor City Council and in the State Senate. First elected to the Maine State Senate in 2020, Joe has voted to restore Medicare subsidies, supported a $6 million increase in funding for Maine’s family planning services, earning him a 100% rating from Planned Parenthood, and led the charge on legislation to lower property taxes and keep Mainers in their homes.
Now, Joe is running for Congress to ensure that Mainers have a leader they can count on. Joe is the only candidate in the race who has gone toe-to-toe with Paul LePage — and won! In Congress, he will continue his fight to protect Social Security and Medicare, lower costs, expand access to affordable healthcare, keep rural hospitals open, and protect abortion rights.
