Congressman Kevin Mullin is currently serving his first term representing California’s 15th District, encompassing most of the San Francisco Peninsula region. He was first elected in 2022, succeeding his former boss and J Street Champion Rep. Jackie Speier. Rep. Mullin is a lifelong resident of the district and its surrounding area. Prior to his service in Congress he founded a multimedia production company, served on the South San Francisco City Council, including a term as mayor, and served in the California State Assembly for ten years, the last eight of which were spent as Speaker Pro Tempore of the body.
In Congress, he serves on the Committees on Natural Resources and Science, Space, and Technology. He is also a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus as well as the Congressional Freethought Caucus. During his time in Congress, Rep. Mullin has been strongly aligned with J Street values and has shown a growing desire to work with us on this issue. He cosponsored H.Con.Res 61 supporting Israeli Democracy early on in 2023, and he signed the Nadler-Raskin-Goldman letter in October which affirmed that support for Israeli security is not incompatible with support for Palestinian human rights.
