Mary Peltola is a former U.S. Representative running to unseat GOP Senator Dan Sullivan in Alaska.
In 2022, Peltola won a special election for Alaska's statewide House race, becoming the first Alaska Native member of Congress and the first woman to represent Alaska in the House.
Prior to her election to Congress, Peltola served in a range of public roles, including in the Alaska House of Representatives, on the Bethel City Council, as executive director of the Kuskokwim River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission, and as a judge on the Orutsararmiut Native Council Tribal Court.
