Former Congressman Mondaire Jones is running to represent the Lower Hudson Valley in the House. He represented a previous version of the district from 2021 until 2023.
One of the first two openly gay and Black Members of Congress, Jones was named the most legislatively active freshman in Congress' class of 2020. During his time in the House, he served on the Judiciary Committee, Committee on Education and Labor, and the Committee on Ethics.
Jones is closely aligned with J Street. He backs full security aid to Israelis and humanitarian and development assistance to Palestinians. Jones supports a two-state solution and has pledged to push back against all unilateral acts which further entrench the conflict, including settlement expansion and annexation.
