Dr. Richard Pan is a pediatrician, UC Davis educator and former state senator running to represent California’s 6th Congressional District.
After earning his medical degree and a master’s in public health, Dr. Pan went on to lead UC Davis’s Pediatric Residency Program.
He founded Communities and Physicians Together, a grassroots initiative that partners pediatricians with local neighborhoods. He also launched Healthy Kids Healthy Future, which has provided health, dental, and vision coverage to more than 65,000 children in the Sacramento region.
Dr. Pan served in the California State Assembly from 2010 to 2014 and in the State Senate from 2014 to 2022. Time Magazine called him a "Public Health Hero" for authoring California's school vaccination laws.
