One of the longest serving Members of Congress and Dean of Connecticut’s congressional delegation, progressive leader Rosa DeLauro has represented New Haven and its suburbs for over 30 years.
DeLauro has built a reputation as a hard-working, passionate and forthright advocate for her constituents, an honest broker who works with members across the political spectrum
She is a founding member of the Progressive Caucus and serves on the House Appropriations Committee.
Rep. DeLauro is a proud J Street champion.
She was a co-sponsor of H.Res. 326, reaffirming congressional backing for a two-state solution and opposition to settlement expansion and annexation. She joined the resolution condemning antisemitism and bigotry, as well as the Schakowsky-Deutch-Price-Schneider letter opposing annexation.
Rep. DeLauro backed President Obama's Iran deal, which verifiably blocked Iran's path to nuclear weapons, and voted for the No War Against Iran Act following the Trump Administration's abandonment of the agreement.
