In 2020, Christina unseated a 20-year incumbent to win a seat in the Iowa State House, where she served from 2021 to 2023. She ran for Congress in 2022 and again in 2024, coming within 800 votes of defeating Republican Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, outperforming the top of the ticket by nearly 10 percentage points in the narrowest Democratic loss in the country.
Christina has earned a J Street endorsement in each of her campaigns and is a critical part of building a pro-peace, pro-democracy majority in 2026.
