JStreetPAC is thrilled to invite members to a virtual fundraiser for Oregon Representatives Val Hoyle and Andrea Salinas. In their first terms of Congress, they’ve both proven themselves to be J Street champions, and are both in competitive races rated “frontline” by the DCCC.
In 2022, Rep. Hoyle successfully ran a campaign against Republican candidate Alek Skarlatos. Prior to her election, she served as Oregon’s Labor Commissioner, a nonpartisan role leading Oregon’s Bureau of Labor and Industries. She has previously served in the Oregon House of Representatives, being selected Majority Leader in 2012. She is running against Monique DeSpain in the general election.
Andrea Salinas is a longtime progressive legislator who is serving her first term in the US House of Representatives. After beating out a crowded primary field, she successfully defeated her Republican opponent by running on a platform around protecting the right to organize, fighting for affordable healthcare, and safeguarding a woman’s right to choose. We are so proud to have Rep. Salinas as a partner in Congress. She is running against Republican candidate Mike Erickson.
