Coffee and Conversation with Rep. Colin Allred

Colin Allred is a civil rights lawyer, former NFL player, and battle-tested candidate. He has proven he can win tough races in a suburban swing district that mirrors the key battleground counties in Texas. While Cruz has been focusing his time on appealing to a far-right national base, Colin has been working to deliver results for hard-working Texans.

Rep. Allred been a strong ally of J Street ever since he beat 20-year incumbent Pete Sessions in 2018. He is a champion of human rights, democratic freedoms and pro-Israel, pro-peace, pro-democracy leadership in Congress.

Texas is trending Democratic. Presidential year voting trends in Texas show consistent movement toward Democrats, and in his last race, Cruz won by only 2.5 percentage points. Senator Cruz is also deeply disliked in Texas — only 40% of Texas voters approved of the job he’s doing. Meanwhile, Colin Allred has been working across the aisle to get work done for Texans.
