Minneapolis Reception for Peggy Flanagan

Lt. Gov. Flanagan is running to succeed Senator Tina Smith and represent Minnesota in the U.S. Senate. Elected to the Minnesota Legislature in 2015 and as Lieutenant Governor in 2018, she helped pass paid family and medical leave, a nation-leading child tax credit and free school meals in public schools. She previously served as the executive director of the Children’s Defense Fund–Minnesota, where she co-chaired the Raise the Wage Coalition and helped secure Minnesota’s first minimum wage increase in a decade.

Now, Lt. Gov. Flanagan is running for Minnesota’s open Senate seat to stop Donald Trump from ransacking our government and making it harder for families, like the one she grew up in, to have a fair shot. At a time when Washington is more rigged than ever, she will be a leader who has the guts to take on our toughest fights and win for Minnesota families.
