Rep. Bonamici has consistently voiced support for a two-state solution and opposed unlawful settlement expansion and annexation. In June of 2021, she signed Rep. Jamie Raskin’s letter urging Sen. Jim Risch to stop blocking millions in humanitarian aid for Palestinians. She also signed the Price-Lee-Wexton-Castro letter which pushed back against “flashpoints” in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, including settlement expansion, annexation and incitement to violence against Israelis and Palestinians. Most recently, Bonamici signed the DeLauro-Schakowsky-McGovern letter, which urged the Biden administration to deescalate tensions in the West Bank and commit to sustain diplomacy to prevent actions that further undermine the viability of a two-state solution. In addition to being a champion for J Street’s priorities and values in the Middle East, Rep. Bonamici has been a leading advocate for public education, consumer rights, reproductive freedom and LGBT+ equality.
