J Street, the pro-Israel, pro-peace, pro-democracy movement, announced today that it has passed the $6 million mark in funds raised for the Harris-Walz campaign. JStreetPAC, our political fundraising arm, is now the largest Jewish organizational source of funds in the country for the Harris campaign this cycle.
JStreetPAC has also raised over $8.5 million for more than 180 challengers and incumbents. In the House and Senate, J Street endorsees now constitute strong, mainstream majorities of Democrats. JStreetPAC’s fundraising total includes $1 million for down-ballot races in the critical swing state of Pennsylvania.
“Our community is tremendously energized to elect Kamala Harris and the new generation of leadership she represents. She has the chance to chart a bold, fresh approach to Israel-Palestine and the wider Middle East, rooted in our shared values and unburdened by what has been,” J Street President Jeremy Ben-Ami said. “The future of our country, our democracy and the region depends on keeping Donald Trump out of the Oval Office. Jewish Americans know that and are one of the strongest constituencies standing against him.”
J Street endorsees include former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi; frontline Senators Sherrod Brown, Jon Tester, Tammy Baldwin and Bob Casey; over a dozen frontline House candidates and red-to-blue challengers; and high-profile Senate candidates including Angela Alsobrooks in Maryland, Adam Schiff in California and Colin Allred who’s taking on Senator Ted Cruz in Texas.
J Street’s mainstream pro-democracy, pro-choice endorsee list stands in stark contrast to AIPAC, which has raised millions of dollars to support over 100 MAGA Republicans who voted to overturn the 2020 election results. Those ranks include numerous leaders who champion Donald Trump and amplify dangerous conspiracy theories and antisemitic rhetoric – from Senator Ted Cruz to Congresswoman Elise Stefanik to Senator Josh Hawley.
