After the passage of Prop 50, Rep. Tran’s seat is among the most competitive in Southern California, and he is J Street’s most vulnerable endorsee on the West Coast. The Cook Political Report rates the race as “Lean Democrat.” Rep. Tran has been a consistent J Street champion, cosponsoring the West Bank Violence Prevention Act to counter the rise in settler violence, speaking out in support of upholding the ceasefire and signing a letter calling for continued US pressure to hold the deal together. He needs our support to send him back to the House for a second term.

JoAnna Mendoza is running to unseat GOP Rep. Juan Ciscomani in Arizona’s 6th District, which encompasses half of Tucson and the rest of southeast Arizona. An Arizona native and lifelong public servant, Mendoza served more than two decades in the Navy and the Marine Corps. She has committed to representing J Street’s pro-Israel, pro-peace, pro-democracy values in Congress. Rep. Ciscomani has been a rubber stamp for Trump’s agenda, including voting for Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill,” which cut funding for social services while increasing funding for ICE. The Cook Political Report rates this seat as a “Toss-up,” and it’s a critical pick-up opportunity for Democrats to take back the House.

With the House majority on the line, supporting both a vulnerable, pro-peace incumbent and a competitive, values-aligned challenger could directly shape the next Congress.
