Marlene Galan-Woods was born in Brooklyn and has lived in Arizona for 35 years. She was a journalist for 20 years, committed to exposing corruption and holding people in power accountable for their actions. Galan-Woods is a philanthropist and has focused on improving the lives of children through much of her work.
Galan-Woods chaired the campaign of Arizona Secretary of State, Adrian Fontes, and served on Governor Katie Hobbs’ transition team. Through all of her work, Galan-Woods has fought for democracy and the protection of freedoms and liberties for all people — values that make her a strong J Street ally.
In Congress, will work to hold other members of Congress accountable for ensuring pluralistic, liberal democracy in the US and in Israel, and is committed to supporting J Street's efforts.
