The granddaughter of Jewish immigrants from Europe, Dr. Kim Schrier has represented her Western Washington district since 2019.
Schrier was the first pediatrician elected to Congress. Her 17 years of experience in the medical field, in addition to her diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes at just 16, inform her focus on healthcare issues in Congress. She is a vocal supporter of a woman’s right to choose, as well as a champion for affordable healthcare for all. 14 of Schrier’s bill’s were signed into law, covering issue areas from crop research funding to preventing cuts to Medicare.
Rep. Schrier serves on the Energy and Commerce Committee.
