Luke Bronin

Luke Bronin is running to represent Connecticut’s 1st Congressional District.

From 2016-2024, he served as the mayor of Hartford. Previously, he acted as general counsel for Governor Daniel Malloy. 

After graduating from  Yale Law School, Luke served as a Navy intelligence officer and deployed to Afghanistan as part of the U.S. military’s anti-corruption task force. During President Obama’s first term, Bronin served as a senior official in the Treasury Department and was part of the team that created the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. He later served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes.
