Rep. Sorensen is a first term Congressman from the Quad Cities in Illinois, and the first openly gay Congressman from Illinois. Sorensen is a former weatherman who is passionate about communicating climate issues in an accessible manner. Along with his many accomplishments in his first term, Sorensen has become a very strong ally for J Street.
