Dan Osborn is a independent candidate running to represent Nebraska in the U.S. Senate, seeking to represent the seat currently held by Republican Senator Pete Ricketts.
Osborn is a U.S. Navy veteran and a Nebraska Army National Guardsman. He previously served as president of his union, BCTGM Local 50G, and rose to prominence when he led his fellow Kellogg Company workers in a 77-day nationwide strike over a two-tier wage system, earning a better contract.
In the 2024 election, Osborn challenged Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer and lost by fewer than 7 points, outperforming Kamala Harris by 17.7%.
