Christina Bohannan is a law professor, former engineer, and Iowa state representative running to represent Iowa's 1st District. Christina became the first in her family to graduate college, working her way through engineering school and then law school by picking oranges, cleaning trailers, and working as an engineer.
Bohannan is running to unseat incumbent AIPAC-endorsed GOP Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks.
Bohannan is committed to becoming a J Street champion in Congress. As a law professor, Bohannan believes that this is a critical time to protect democracy at home and abroad. She has pledged to support Palestinian rights to dignity and self-determination as these rights are essential to a democratic Israel. Bohannan sees that a two-state solution is “not only a moral imperative – it is also in our own national security interests.”
