Jake Johnson is the Democratic nominee running to unseat GOP incumbent Brad Finstad in Minnesota's 1st Congressional District.
Johnson is one of eleven children from a working class family. While growing up in the community he's running to represent, his family relied on programs SNAP and Medicaid to make ends meet.
Johnson has taught math in K-12 schools for 20 years, and he is a two-time recipient of Minnesota's highest recognition for math education. As the Government Relations Coordinator for his union, Johnson has fought to improve wages and working conditions for over 1,000 public servants.
