Diplomacy-first stalwart Jim McGovern has represented the Worcester area and upper Pioneer Valley since 1997. McGovern started his career as a staffer for Senator George McGovern (no relation). A member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, he has long been known as a progressive foreign policy leader.
McGovern previously chaired the House Committee on Rules and the Congressional-Executive Commission on China. He has written and successfully passed into law several bills which help America identify and hold accountable corrupt foreign officials and human rights abusers.
