An advocate for bolstering American democracy, Brownley has repeatedly introduced legislation that would require all states to allow same day voter registration for federal elections.
She sits on the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, as well as the Select Committee on the Climate Crisis.
During her time in Congress, Rep. Brownley has been an advocate for issues important to pro-Israel, pro-peace Americans. The Congresswoman supported President Obama's Iran deal, which verifiably blocked Iran's path to nuclear weapons. She also supported the vast majority of J Street's recent legislative priorities, including co-sponsoring H.R. 326, which reaffirmed Congress’s commitment to a two-state solution and opposed settlement expansion and annexation.
