Scott Wiener is a California State Senator running for California’s 11th Congressional District.
First elected in 2016, he currently chairs the Senate Elections Committee and has previously led the Senate Budget, Housing, and Human Services Committees.
Prior to the State Senate, Wiener served on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and spent fifteen years practicing law as a Deputy City Attorney in the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, in private practice and as a law clerk for Justice Alan Handler on the New Jersey Supreme Court.
Wiener received a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a law degree from Harvard Law School.
