Chrissy Houlahan

  • 6th District , pennsylvania

Rep. Chrissy Houlahan is an Air Force veteran, engineer, entrepreneur, and educator who is continuing her career of service as the first woman ever to represent Pennsylvania's 6th District in Congress.

Rep. Houlahan is the daughter and granddaughter of Holocaust survivors who came to America with nothing. She grew up in a military family; her parents met when her father and grandfather flew P3s in the same Navy squadron. She earned her engineering degree from Stanford with an ROTC scholarship that launched her service in the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserves, and later earned her M.S. in Technology and Policy from MIT.

These experiences and more inform her work on two critical committees: the House Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Armed Services Committee.

Rep. Houlahan has been in office since 2019 after getting elected in the 2018 Blue Wave. Now, Pennsylvania is an equally vulnerable state up and down the ballot in 2024.

Houlahan's record has shifted much closer to J Street since October 7th. She signed the October Nadler-Raskin-Goldman letter in October, voted 'no' on the Republican led Israel-only supplemental, and signed the recent Crow-Deluzio letter urging that Biden make clear to Israel that existing US laws says countries that block or restrict humanitarian aid cannot receive US weapons.
