Christina Bohannan

  • Endorsed
  • 1st District, iowa

Christina Bohannan is a law professor, former engineer, and former Iowa state representative running for Congress in Iowa's 1st District. The first in her family to graduate college, she worked her way through engineering school and law school—graduating first in her class—before clerking for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and joining the University of Iowa Law School faculty.

In 2020, Bohannan unseated a 20-year incumbent to win a seat in the Iowa State House, where she served from 2021 to 2023. She ran for Iowa's 1st Congressional district in 2022 and again in 2024, when she came within 800 votes of defeating Republican Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks—the narrowest Democratic loss in the country—and overperformed the top of the ticket by 8.4 percentage points.

Bohannan is committed to standing up for our pro-Israel, pro-peace values in Congress.
