James Walkinshaw is running in the special election to replace the late Gerry Connolly.
Walkinshaw served as Connolly's Chief of Staff for over a decade prior to running for Braddock District Supervisor in 2019. He serves as Chair of both the Board of Supervisors’ Legislative Committee and Environmental Committee, also leading the Fairfax County-City of Fairfax interjurisdictional committee. Walkinshaw also served as Chair of the Virginia Railway Express (VRE) Operations Board.
Walkinshaw is committed to carrying on Connolly's legacy of a pro-Israel, pro-peace, pro-democracy foreign policy.
