Katy Padilla Stout is an attorney, educator, and child welfare advocate running to represent Texas’s 23rd Congressional District.
Before earning her law degree, she worked as an elementary school teacher, then built a legal practice focused on child welfare and education law. Since 2017, Padilla Stout has served on the Bexar County Child Welfare Board, working to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and families, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Artvango Therapeutic Services, a nonprofit that helps children heal from abuse and trauma through expressive therapies.
