Laura Friedman was elected in 2024 to represent Burbank, Glendale, West Hollywood and parts of Los Angeles and Pasadena.
She previously served in the California State Assembly, where she built a reputation as a tireless advocate for the environment, housing and transportation. Friedman was a leader in the California Legislative Jewish Caucus, and was a major player in California’s fight against antisemitism.
Laura got her start in the private sector working as a film and television producer after receiving her B.A. from the University of Rochester, New York. Building on her years of community service, Laura also served as the Mayor of Glendale and on the Glendale City Council.
In Congress, Friedman serves on two key committees: the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology.
