Pete Aguilar has represented his San Bernardino county district since flipping the seat blue in 2014.
Prior to his service in Congress, Pete Aguilar served as the Mayor of Redlands, California. Since his election, Representative Aguilar has shot up the ranks of leadership, earning the post of Chair of the House Democratic Caucus – the first Latino to do so, and the highest ranking Latino in Congress.
Aguilar was chosen for the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol. His legislative priorities include protecting reproductive rights, fighting for affordable healthcare and securing equitable access to education.
