The son of Vietnamese refugees, Rep. Derek Tran’s life and career reflect his unwavering commitment to compassionate, working-class leadership. At 18, Tran enlisted in the Army, where he learned the importance of working alongside people from all political backgrounds. After his service, he earned a law degree and opened a small business in Orange County, advocating for immigrants, workers, survivors of sexual harassment, and consumers.
The first $7,000 of each contribution made through the primary will be allocated to Derek Tran for Congress with the first $3,500 allocated to the primary election, and the second $3,500 allocated to the general election; after the primary, the first $3,500 will be allocated to Derek Tran for Congress for the general election. The next $10,000 of each contribution will be allocated to the California Democratic Party federal account.
