Senator John Hickenlooper began his professional life as a geologist in Colorado during the early 1980s, and later founded a brewing company in Denver. He began his political career as the Mayor of Denver, where he served two terms. Later, Hickenlooper was elected Governor in a landslide, a position he held for eight years. He was elected to the Senate in 2020, helping secure the pro-diplomacy majority in the Senate.
Sen. Hickenlooper strongly believes a two-state solution is the only way to ensure a secure, Jewish, and democratic future for Israel and a viable state for the Palestinian people. He supports using America’s leadership to push for a resumption of negotiations for a just and lasting peace between Israel and the Palestinians, which only can be achieved by mutual agreement between the parties themselves.
